untitled About Marc Darrow, M.D., J.D.Dr. Marc Darrow is a Board Certified Physiatrist specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California at Los Angeles’s, School of Medicine.

As medical director of the Darrow Sports & Wellness Institute in Los Angeles, Dr. Darrow has focused his practice on musculoskeletal injury, pain management, electro diagnosis (EMG/NCS), and sports medicine and rehabilitation.

The approach Dr. Darrow uses is threefold. He calls it the Trinity of Healing, and focuses equally on all three aspects.

1. Treat the physical body that needs the repair,

2. Address the mind that lives in that body and deals with the pain, and;

3. Attempt to move the patient’s focus to the spiritual value of his or her experience. In essence to transcend the physical and move to a higher consciousness.

If this were true about health care, then most people who work in the entertainment and fitness industry would not suffer from chronic pain, but many do.

Some of my patients are celebrities and renowned sports figures. They came to our clinic because they were in pain and seeking alternatives to “new and innovative” joint replacement surgeries, “leading edge” arthroscopic surgeries, and an array of drugs and painkillers that did not help them.
